Korman Residence
Apartment Pepo
Once, I was the space of Jože, known as Pepo, the only son who wished to dedicate his life to me and to the land on which I stand. After completing his studies in agronomy, he returned home with the desire to continue the work of his parents and preserve the life of the estate. Sadly, his journey ended far too soon, yet his calm spirit still lingers within my walls.
Apartment Pepo was once his private corner for work, reflection, and retreat. Today, it preserves a feeling of simplicity, warmth, and silence that gently brings peace to all who enter.

Studio Milena
Milena was the only daughter. Serious, curious, and always carrying her thoughts beyond the everyday rhythm of farm life. While life around me followed the pace of work and nature, she searched for her world in books and learning. Her studies first took her to Ljubljana and later to the Slovenian coast, yet her connection to me never truly faded.
Studio Milena was once known as the “better house.” It was a space where guests were welcomed, special moments were celebrated, and doors were opened to those who came to visit. It was used only on special occasions, which is why it still carries a sense of elegance, warmth, and appreciation for togetherness.

Apartment Jože and Marija
Once, my life was guided by Jože and Marija – the last owners who lived within my walls until 1995. Jože continued the work of his ancestors, while Marija brought warmth, diligence, and new energy into my life. Together, they lived a life deeply connected to nature, the land, and the people around them.
They were known as kind and generous people. They helped the local community, and my courtyard was always open to people, conversation, and life.
The main part of the apartment, called Marija, was once the heart of family life. Around the stone stove, family members gathered to cook, share meals, tell stories, and spend long evenings together. Its purpose has hardly changed over time – even today, it remains a space of warmth, togetherness, and homeliness.
Studio Jože once served as a dining room for guests and later as a sleeping area. Today, together they create an apartment where the history of an old Pohorje homestead intertwines with the peace and comfort of modern living.
